We are located in the beautiful Santa Cruz area and are the leading wholesale distributor of health and wellness supplements. The company's brands are sold through more than 7000 store Health Food Stores and internet channels. The company has grown significantly through exceptional channel relationships, product innovation, and the reputation of its brands for potency, quality, and value.

The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership and team-building skills to oversee our sales organization. This role will include overseeing our inside Bricks & Mortar Inside sales team, Key Account and Field Sales team, external Sales Broker, Sales Administration, and Customer support teams. will provide strong leadership and team-building skills to oversee our sales organization. This is a great opportunity for you to come into a well-established brand in the industry and grow our independent brick-and-mortar retail vertical.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the full sales team using innovative sales principles, techniques and leadership skills.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales across all channels for both distributed brands and the companys proprietary brands.
  • Collaborate with other departments and management personnel in order to increase communications that lead to overall company growth and success.
  • Leverage relationships with key accounts in order to gain market share and brand positioning.
  • Inspire, motivate and lead results-driven teams within the sales organization, including Customer Service and Sales Support.
  • Manage, recruit and direct the daily operations of the customer service/credit processing team
  • Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability

What You Need for this Position

  • Supplements or Pharmaceutical Industry experience
  • Independent Retail Store Account Management experience
  • Account Management

  • Ability to think strategically, build effective sales plans and drive execution
  • Travel is expected
  • FDA or DSHEA regulations
