Compensation:
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.
Expected Minimum Pay Rate: USD $46,800.00/Yr. Expected Maximum Pay Rate: USD $55,000.00/Yr. Responsibilities:

Who You Are

As our Senior HR Support Specialist, you will perform a variety of advanced clerical duties in support of specific department programs and initiatives. You will act as a resource to internal and external customers and vendors and may serve as a lead worker to other team members. The person in this role requires comprehensive knowledge of office procedures and working knowledge of regulatory requirements in area of specialty, the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and be flexible to changing work priorities.


What You Will Do

  • You will act as HR liaison to store management regarding the status of pre-employment testing process and transactions in HRIS.
  • You will timely and accurately maintain electronic and paper documentation and files. Perform audits of files. Insert and remove specified materials.
  • You will enter and maintain data in the HRIS system or other databases; creates reports from databases.
  • You will perform research for special projects and to answer inquiries, escalating complex inquiries to Department Team Leaders. You will resolve discrepancies per established procedures.
  • You will compile data from various sources. Prepares and distributes routine reports including department metrics. May prepare basic ad hoc reports.
  • You will compile with any applicable regulatory requirements and union contract rules as they relate to area of specialty.
  • You will function as the process owner for assigned processes. Provides first-level assistance to internal and external customers and vendors including other HR Support Specialists.
  • You will process verifications including Equal Employment Department unemployment claims and subpoenas.
  • You will generate, copies, and distributes a variety of documents.
  • You will answer telephones and refers callers to appropriate party.
  • You will perform a variety of advanced office support duties.
  • You will serve as a lead to team members including providing training and general work direction.

Qualifications:

Must Haves

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus three (3) to five (5) years experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
  • General knowledge of office procedures.
  • General knowledge of regulatory requirements in area of specialty.
  • Advanced ability to operate office equipment, a personal computer and related software applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to type with sufficient speed and accuracy to perform job functions as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including vocabulary, spelling and correct grammatical usage and punctuation.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to escalate problems when necessary.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible to changing work priorities.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to adapt procedures and processed to accomplish the requirements of the position.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to train and lead others.

  • Ability to work extended hours, as required, in support of the company's business need.
