Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

• With instruction/direction, assist higher-level Construction/ Maintenance mechanics in providing Construction/Maintenance support to various Company Departments by performing basic labor tasks as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned to include but not limited to: General cleaning, assisting other crews as required, maintaining safety, housekeeping, sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.

• Have basic hand tool knowledge such as hammer, screwdriver, pliers, tape measure, wire strippers, etc.
• Prior Maintenance and/or carpentry/plumbing/fabrication and/or electrical knowledge preferred
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have good communication (English) skills.
• Have ability to learn and follow lockout tag out procedures.
• Must be able to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work from a ladder and on high altitudes including chicken house roofs.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays and job assignments as necessary.
• Must be able to follow company standards, guidelines and policies including but not limited to safety, animal welfare and production standards.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work at various job site locations.
