Job Description
The Skills Lab Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President for the School of Nursing and Health Professions, will perform routine duties of a support nature, specifically for the list of programs contained within the Project.

Job Duties
Support the New Technical and Healthcare Workforce Programs Grant Project by:
  • Organizing supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Setting up active learning environments (such as labs, classrooms, etc.).
  • Coordinating course schedules and calendars for lab usage.
  • Participating in the acquisition of instructional materials and supplies.
  • Maintaining knowledge related to multiple healthcare programs.
  • Ensuring all lab equipment is working properly.
  • Making minor repairs to equipment.
  • Attending program involved events.
  • Collecting and recording data.
  • Providing basic technological support.
  • Interpreting regulations and policies.
  • Collecting and processing records.
  • Establishing lab safety rules and regulations.
  • Orienting faculty and students to the lab setting.
  • Cleaning and organizing labs.
  • Maintaining established office hours.
  • Meeting all employee development requirements.
  • Performing all other duties as directed by the supervisor/administrator.


Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) Associate Degree in a science, healthcare, technology, or business-related field of study.
(M2) 2 years of clerical/organizational and/or health-related experience.
(M3) Strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently.
(M4) Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
(M5) Familiar with basic internet, email, and Microsoft windows applications.

Desirable Qualifications
(D1) Bachelor’s Degree in a science, healthcare, technology, or business-related field of study.
(D2) Experience in Banner Software.
(D3) Skills Lab or Simulation experience.
(D4) Prior experience working in a community college or university setting.
