Job Description

A.J. Boggs’ Software Development Team is seeking Developers for its Okemos, Michigan office to develop and maintain solutions for clients in public health and other government agencies.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Software Programs
  • Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by following best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
  • Work with Product Owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality products to our users
  • Implement software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
  • Communicate effectively with various audiences on a wide range of topics
  • Provide work estimates
  • Assist in gathering requirements
  • Develop training and system documentation
  • Mentor other team members
  • Investigate new technologies and best practices


Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Two or more years of experience with software development with C#.NET, SQL, and Javascript
  • Understanding of object-oriented methodologies, relational databases, and Internet protocols
  • Interest in improving leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of computer science, business, or communications
  • Knowledge of Agile, Jira, Angular/React, BitBucket, Jenkins, and Selenium
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience administrating or developing secure software applications
  • Curious about new industry practices, technologies, and management techniques
  • Experience with HIPAA and HITECH security policy and processes

May require travel, successful completion of a drug test and/or credit/background checks.
