Job Description
A.J. Boggs’ Software Development Team is seeking Developers for its Okemos, Michigan office to develop and maintain solutions for clients in public health and other government agencies.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop Software Programs
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by following best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Work with Product Owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality products to our users
- Implement software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
- Communicate effectively with various audiences on a wide range of topics
- Provide work estimates
- Assist in gathering requirements
- Develop training and system documentation
- Mentor other team members
- Investigate new technologies and best practices
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Two or more years of experience with software development with C#.NET, SQL, and Javascript
- Understanding of object-oriented methodologies, relational databases, and Internet protocols
- Interest in improving leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of computer science, business, or communications
- Knowledge of Agile, Jira, Angular/React, BitBucket, Jenkins, and Selenium
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience administrating or developing secure software applications
- Curious about new industry practices, technologies, and management techniques
- Experience with HIPAA and HITECH security policy and processes

A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of software development experience; or a combination of an Associate’s degree and more than three (3) years of software development experience.
