Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services for American Airlines as American Eagle throughout the Midwest and East Coast, operating CRJ-200 regional jets. Our exceptional team is dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant.

This position is a great opportunity to gain experience with the functions of a corporate tax department while working under the general supervision of the Director of Tax. The position is responsible for the review and analysis of sales & use tax reporting, preparation of income tax reporting, preparation of property tax reporting, and other various tax reporting.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews sales & use tax returns and related account reconciliations.
  • Prepares state property tax reports.
  • Prepares and/or reviews schedule m items, apportionment data and estimated tax payments.
  • Preparation of federal and state income tax returns.
  • Reviews unclaimed property tax returns.
  • Prepares and/or reviews excise tax returns.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries related to “tax” accounts.
  • Prepares and/or reviews other various filings to the state and federal governments.
  • Research various tax issues as needed.
  • Monitor hotel occupancy exemptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.
  • Adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred – Associate degree in Accounting required.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in sales tax, property tax, and/or income tax experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, analyze, and problem solve.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
