You will provide technical support for customers and sales for installations, new product rollout, and ongoing technical issues resolution. This will include configuring and installing state of the art edge and cloud system hardware, software, and networking. In addition, you will help support system maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, recovery and repair, and installation of these highly sophisticated systems.

Job Position:

• The Technical Support Specialist has the task of delivering technical support throughout the sales process, installation, and ongoing trouble management.
• This position reports to the CTO.

Requirements/Background:

• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in trouble shooting different types of network level devices and protocols - no windows/ios or desktop support is used.
• A bachelors degree in a related field such as electrical engineering, computer science is mandatory.
• Experience with Linux, private networking, TCP/IP, SQL, and managing software is mandatory.
• Must be commutable to Houston.

Responsibilities include:

• Help install state of the art edge and cloud system hardware, software, and networking including – managing all required system/software updates, as well as the date of completion
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware, network, and software problems
• Provide support for system maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and recovery and repair as the initial point of contact for all appliances, software, and video system related issues
• Create and manage technical documentation

Important skills: Diagnosing technical issues, problem solving, collaboration, technical customer service background

Suggested knowledge: Familiarity with installation and support of video analytics servers

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
