Ignite Digital Services (IDS), has an exciting opportunity for an Information Assurance Technical Project Manager in the Charleston, SC or Washington, DC area. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is a motivated self-starter with superior listening, effective communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be technical minded with a strong background in managing projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and various stakeholders. This role is for an Information Assurance Project Manager to support our client with the federal government.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management and oversight of project cost, schedule, and performance and leadership of the project team
  • Provide oversight of the Service Providers project management function as well as the management of internal projects that will be retained by the Government. This function includes requirements, initiating, planning, executing, and closing projects.
  • Provide project state information to the Government Product Owner
  • Oversee development of the project plan and execute project according to project plan
  • Manage risk communications, status, and mitigation
  • Create preliminary scope statement and review project requirements.
  • Monitor and manage the cost/schedule/performance for information assurance (IA) projects
  • Assess justification for schedule slippage; identify and develop a remediation plan
  • Develop and continuously maintain all project documentation for current and option years (OYs) to include funding needs and priorities
  • Justify requests for necessary project resources (manpower or funding)
  • Manage risks associated with dependencies and project milestones
  • Prepare ad hoc reports based on client’s requests to include risk submissions, lessons learned, preliminary scope statements, input to spend plans, Business Case Analysis, input to program management reviews (PMRs)
  • Deliver briefings to organization leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Engineering, Physical Science or Technology related specialty.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in assigned job duties as a Project Manager.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment (preferably with Network Engineers) and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles


Preferred Requirements

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience with Information Assurance
  • Experience managing Government projects
  • Experience working with the Department of the Navy
  • Experience with Agile methodologies


Salary $85,000+ to align with education and experience.
