The Eastern Region of Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Testing & Violations Associate to drive productivity and promote innovative solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting the Testing & Violations Branch Manager in all aspects of the testing and violations process
- Managing the sales process associated with violations including:
- Drafting letters to customers
- Open order proposals
- Booking sales
- Responsible for the tracking and coordination of all violations to ensure timely clearing of violations and reduced fines
- Data entry for AOC filings (internal software and DOB Now)
- Collect signatures and e-signatures via email/phone (inspectors, directors, customers)
- Request payment of filing fees, prepare and submitting fee refund requests
- Provide correction updates and various notices to customers and witness agencies
- CAT1/CAT5 Filings
- Create/follow-up on DOB support tickets
- Request copies of PVT violations from the DOB and in-person submission of paperwork.
- Notify teams and customers of open violation defects
- Generate paperwork for signatures and request checks for filing fees
- Notify teams and customers of open violation defects and request violation payments for ECB violations
- Generate paperwork for customer and inspector signatures and attend hearings / Notify customers
- Research cause of violations, determine fine responsibility
- Create reports for customers/account managers and request violation payments
- Notarizing T&V paperwork, paperwork for other departments
- Update client information (DOB account, contacts)
- Upload external/internal correspondence for tests/violations
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior sales experience preferred or knowledge of NYC DOB process
- Candidates must possess proficient presentation skills, as well as oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds of all levels and disciplines.
- Candidates must be able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
- Notary license required
- NYC DOB Expeditor’s license required
- Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities are a must.
- High school degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Salary Range: $57,000 to $91,500 annually + incentive + benefits
