Job Description

The Taproom Tour Guide plays a key part in presenting our business to the public in supporting the Taproom Management team on various duties and areas of the Taproom/Tour/Private Events. Our Taproom is often the first place that people experience Anchor Brewing and our beers. Because of this, we strive to provide an experience that is stellar from beginning to end for our guests – from the service they receive, to the beers they drink, to the space they drink it in.

The Taproom Tour Guide is an advocate of Anchor Brewing Company; must have experience working with the public and must be enthusiastic about maximizing the Brewery experience for all our visitors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Public & Private Tours and Events (including off-site):

  • Conduct tours for public and private groups as scheduled.
  • Staff private events as scheduled in the Taproom and Brewery.
  • Assist with offsite customer engagement opportunities as needed.
  • Coordinate and work with reception team to ensure best in class guest experience, occasionally covering front desk for breaks, events, etc.

Taproom

  • Help maintain tap lines, cleaning of Taproom.
  • Keep Taproom cold box clean and stocked each shift.

Retail

  • Work scheduled shifts in brewery retail shop: assisting guests as needed with purchases.
  • Stock retail items as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & ATTITUDE:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • A keen interest in craft beer.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in retail and/or in hospitality.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage groups of guests.
  • Knowledge of POS preferred.
  • Must be able to lift full kegs behind the bar.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
  • Is flexible and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule required. There are often events in the evening and/or on the weekends.
  • Public speaking experience preferred.

Job Type: This position is represented by a Union for collective bargaining purposes.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
