At Piedmont Airlines, our strength is the way we deliver industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners. To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Training Supervisor in our Station Training Department.
Essential Duties:
We’re looking for someone who has a proven track record for customer service and safety compliance. The station training assistant is responsible for providing quality on-the-job training to our new employees, and continuous learning for our employees in the station. The successful candidate will be assigned a variety of tasks and assignments to include airport familiarization for new hire employee, demonstrate proper use of all equipment and vehicles, provide hands-on training for de-icing follow up after all training events to ensure compliance, assist with delivery and storage of station supplies, provide support when special events are scheduled.
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
- Two years of airline experience, preferably all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp)
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
- Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite
- Ability to defuse conflicts among team members
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced instructor or public speaker
- Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Education, or related field
Work Environment:
- Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
- Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
- All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
- Handle objects up to 70 pounds
- Assist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs
