We are currently looking for experienced tutors to work at our Northridge learning center. Available subjects include math, reading, writing and SAT prep.
As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are: Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervise, interact with, and motivate students
Reward students for completed assignments
Evaluate and document student progress
Communicate student needs to the center director
Inspire and develop a rapport with students
Establish a fun learning environment
Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Four year degree or equivalent preferred but not required
State or provincial teaching credentials preferred (current or expired)
Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred
Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension preferred for reading teachers
Compensation: $17-$19/hour
