Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is the largest private Rheumatology practice in the United States. The practice has over 51 providers, 11 sites and over 250 employees providing assessment and treatments for rheumatological, podiatric, and electromyography patients. We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology Team.

AARA Ultrasound Technologist uses a variety of sonography equipment, to take images, inside of the patient’s body. Unlike x-rays, sonography equipment is able to see how vital organs, even blood vessels are working. Good judgment is a requirement as Ultrasound Technologist assist Physicians in diagnosing patients.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Prep patient for diagnostic imaging exam.
• Read doctor's notes as to why exam is being performed.
• Take medical histories.
• Produce ultrasound images of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems such as rheumatoid arthritis.
• Explain procedure to patient.
• Position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately radiographed.
• Position radiographic equipment at the correct angle over the appropriate area of a patient's body.
• Adjust controls on the ultrasound machine to produce radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part.
• Keep patient records.
• Adjust and maintain equipment.

• Graduate from an accredited Sonography program
