These will be 12 hour shifts.

Overview:

Provides indirect patient care in the facility. Meets and exceeds the communication needs of the patient, family and staff. Retrieve information from electronic medical documentation for the interdisciplinary health care team as needed. Follows directions from physician and nursing staff.

Qualifications:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Other: Ability to work with staff, patients, families and physicians in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Proper telephone etiquette. Good computer knowledge. Knowledgeable of medical terminology. Able to type 40 words per minute accurately. Knowledgeable and sensitive to patient's rights.
Preferred Experience: One year or more previous Unit Secretary experience.
Preferred Other: Additional languages preferred.
