■Job Description

This position represents Japan Airlines at JFK airport in day-to-day passenger service operations by supervising ground handling company staff and servicing passengers in all phases of arrivals.

· Supports check-in, boarding gate, baggage support, back-office duties and departures.

Fields passenger requests while following rules and regulations of the airlines, states, countries, and other governmental agencies that may be involved.

Provides efficient guidance and reports to on-duty staff on any anticipated or existing problems in order to ensure good service and the safe handling of passengers.

Creates daily/monthly/quarterly reports and statistics when needed.

Verifies the accuracy of invoices for payment processing, supply and meal ordering, and data collection.

Analyses weather maps, airport diagrams, and reports to make suitable judgements for station coordination.

■Minimum Requirements

Must be available to work on weekends and holidays

Excellent communication skills

・ Typing and computer proficiency

Bilingual in English and Japanese preferred, but not required

Valid U.S. driver’s license

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa support available)

High school diploma

Be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs with no restrictions.
