Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an administrative assistant (Transitions Case Manager) for a position in Fayetteville, NC. The primary duty of this position is administrative support to the military customer's Personnel Section. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor unit members' transition process and ensure they complete all critical tasks required to have a successful transition.

  • Coordinate Job Assistance and Internship Opportunities.

  • Advise soldiers on TAP procedures and processes

  • Advise soldiers on VA BDD procedures and processes

  • SBP Counseling and Administration to include Public Notary for SBP Documents.

  • Veterans Group Life Insurance and Alternative Insurance Counseling

  • TRICARE Counseling and Advisement

  • Retirement Pay Planning and Formal Estimate

  • MGIB (Chapter 30) and Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) Counseling and Assistance

  • Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31) Counseling and Assistance

  • Dependents' Education Assistance (Chapter 35) Counseling and Assistance

  • Moderate/Maintain Transition Unclassified Portal (Slack or other appropriate Platform)

Postal mail distribution/retrieval
Data management
Identification cards management
Absences management
Personnel readiness support
Daily human resources/administrative functions

  • This is not an all-inclusive list of tasks the individual will be assigned as the administrative assistant. Requirements will include other duties as identified and assigned in support of the customer.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start and Secret clearance must be acquired and maintained for the duration of the performance

  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to plan and execute large-scale command-directed electronic filing project

  • Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, manage, and assess electronic filing project

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
