Data, Analytics, and Insights is a department within Digital Services, of over 250 team members focused on firm-wide strategic decision support, client behavior diagnostics, advanced analytics, market research, client loyalty, management reporting, and client and prospect data management. Our mission is to help Schwab compete on analytics and business intelligence – in particular, to serve our clients and cultivate their loyalty by understanding their needs and goals better than anyone – and make strategic decisions in a data-driven, fact-based, sophisticated manner. More specifically, our Digital Services Analytics team provides dedicated support to Digital Services, which guides the strategy for Schwab’s Digital Solutions. The team focuses on delivering actionable insights to drive growth, and help leadership make better business decisions.
We are seeking an inspirational people leader who has a unique combination of financial services expertise, analytic curiosity, technical depth, and business execution. The Director will cultivate strong relationships with Senior Leaders in Digital Services, provide strategic analytical and reporting consultation, and deliver data-driven insights. - Collaborate with a variety of strategy teams and provide thought-leadership to leverage data and insights to better support our clients
- Work closely with business partners to build a strong, well defined, engagement model that ensures optimal project scoping and prioritization while balancing business impact and success
- Manage relationships and support resources to gain alignment across data and technology partners
- Build, mentor and lead a highly engaged and advanced skilled team
- Measure and communicate the impact of the team’s work to ensure it is accessible, impactful, and drives business results
- Deliver as a trusted resource for all things data and analytics for DBS and DXEP
Passion for business intelligence, data, and analytics, and a commitment to drive positive change- Strong curiosity to understand clients and improve overall business impact
- Passion for leading technical staff to deliver data-driven insights, while also developing talent in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated individual performance doing work required
- 10+ years and demonstrated technical aptitude to understand and direct technical development for quality, efficiency and business relevance
- Demonstrated expertise with one or more technical tools for delivering business analytics and reporting (SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, etc)
- Project execution skills with a proven track record of developing and implementing critical initiatives to drive growth
- Self-starter that can thrive in a multifaceted and fast-paced work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
- Outstanding communicator who can clearly translate data to insights, and design compelling dashboards that drive action amongst users, while translating that information in a simple manner to senior executives
- Influential consultant with the ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels and personality types within the organization
- Financial Services experience strongly preferred
