Job Description

Established veterinary hospital is currently seeking a full-time veterinary technician to start as soon as possible. Ideal candidate would be available to work 35-40 hours per week. Experience is preferred.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Our hospital is well established in the area, and the team is one that takes pride in their focus on client care and providing quality medicine for pets.

Job duties for our technicians/assistants include, but are not limited to:

-Obtaining patient history from owners

-Working with doctors to help complete appointments

-Monitoring anesthesia during surgeries, performing dentals and recovering patients post-op

-Blood draws and radiographic procedures

-Performing routine testing (fecal check, ear smear, urinalysis, etc.)

-Restraining pets during exams/treatments

-Filling prescriptions upon request

-Communicating with clients regarding treatment plans, estimates and questions

-Providing information about various flea and heartworm preventions

Great communication skills and ability to work with a team or individually are a must.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
