Are you looking to expand your current HR experience? Our client in Charlottesville, VA is looking to add an HR Generalist to their team. This will be a temp-to-hire position. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8a-5p but the schedule can be flexible. Pay will be $25-$30/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Bi-Weekly processing of Payroll through ADP, 150 employees.

• Processing deductions such as Support Orders, liens, Court Garnishments, and safety supply orders.

• Assist field with recruitment, including New Hire Onboarding and Offboarding through ADP.

• Input new employees into POS & ADP systems.

• Maintain existing employee records such as pay, direct deposit and transfers between locations.

• Maintain employee benefits programs on a monthly and yearly (Open Enrollment) basis. To include bill and employee deduction reconciliation.

• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring human resources federal and state requirements, conducting any investigations and records.

• Identify and recommend areas of improvement to current procedures.

• Create and Process Journal Entries monthly including completed Payroll and Payroll Accruals.

• Reconcile payroll and deductions.

• Assist Financial Controller and team with various items during month end close.

• Oversee end of year items such as W2 processing/distribution, ACA, OSHA reports and EEOC Reports.

• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 years plus prior Payroll experience, ADP Workforce Now is desired.

• Experience working in HR.

• Extensive knowledge of HR policies including ACA, FMLA, garnishments and unemployment

• Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills and ethical mindset.
