Our growing local client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Lab Technician. This position will start of on a Temporary Basis for 3 to 6 months.* This position _could possibly *_convert to client's payroll depending on the needs that might develop within the company.

SALARY: $20.00 - $22.00/HR

LOCATION: Modesto Area

HOURS: Monday thru Friday, 10 Hours / Day Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform routine lab tests for quality control and quality assurance of raw materials, in process products, and finished products to determine conformance to accepted specifications.
• Follow SOPs and accurately record test results in an automated or manual recording system.
• Prepare media and solutions according to established procedures. Verify instruments and apparatus’ according to established procedures to support the testing activities of the quality control lab.
• Identifies opportunities to improve production through testing and experimenting; prepares equipment, products and material for experiments and surveys.
• Evaluates test results, records findings, and writes reports on tested samples, and recommends corrective action and adjustments.
• Be able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to achieve daily workload.
• Prepares samples for shipment to laboratories for complex chemical analysis.
• Monitors laboratory materials and reports supplies that are needed.
• Complies with state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations, and adheres to quality assurance programs and safety standards; Complies with safety programs and standards to minimize safety hazards/injuries.
• Conducts food safety inspections for FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) compliance and working knowledge of the food safety program.
• Communicates regularly with the Laboratory Manager to keep him/her informed of testing results and laboratory/chemical research.
• Completes daily production reports.

Supportive Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Laboratory Manager with routine and/or new-hire training on quality control procedures.
• Attends and participates in professional work related meetings/conferences to enhance professional development;
• May be asked to perform non-routine work on occasion to assist the Laboratory Manager.

Education / Experience / Job Qualifications

• High school diploma; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
• Two to three years lab experience is mandatory
• Excellent computer skills; Excel and other computer software.
• Excellent research and analytical skills; strong math skills.
• Chemist experience or schooling desired and will train on company processes.
