Job Description

We are looking for a Megastar Fractional CFO who will have a multifaceted financial role as a value manager and strategy partner to our fast growing line of businesses. Must have a proven track record with US Financial compliance in well recognized organizations.


The part-time CFO will be accountable for the administrative, financial, performance, and risk management operations of the company, including the development of a financial and operational strategy, identifying and tracking relevant KPIs, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results…

This role is also responsible for the fiscal health of the business. The role is to ensure revenues and expenses stay in balance, overseeing FP&A (financial planning & analysis) functions, making recommendations on mergers and acquisitions, working with department heads to analyze financial data and craft budgets, attesting to the accuracy of reports and consulting with the leadership team and the CEO on strategy.


The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a full or part-time CFO in either start up or scale environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating the company’s future direction through providing input on the company’s business plan, financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
  • Inform and contribute to the companies financial management strategy and goals to ensure financial strength and growth
  • Manage the accounting, legal and tax requirements.
  • Oversee the multiple lines of business profitability and sustainability
  • Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance has responsibilities
  • Oversee the company’s financial transaction processing systems
  • Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile from a financial perspective
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry; ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Report financial and risk results to the board of directors;
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts;
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to executive leadership and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and financial operations;
  • Review all month-end closing activities, including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and overhead cost allocations.
  • Review mass credit card reconciliations ( Earnings)


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, or related discipline ( MBA and/or CPA preferred)
  • Prior experience as a Fractional CFO in similar environments and experience with Financial accounting software like Quickbooks
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation, or prior experience as an advisor to or executive at an early-stage company
  • Advanced Excel proficiency. 10+ years of practical experience of using Excel for building and maintaining financial models
  • A natural curiosity and a “big picture” mentality
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and experience partnering with an executive team
