Job Description
Title: Press Brake Operator Reports to: Supervisor
Duties & Tasks
Safely load material according to part blueprint.
- Operate hydraulic brake press according to the Production Package.
Perform hourly in-process and finished part inspections using gauges, calipers, and squares to ensure quality goals are met.
- Meet daily production goals and Zero-Defect criteria.
- Place finished parts into designated containers with appropriate label, as instructed.
Ensure required paperwork and computer entries are complete and accurate.
Immediately inform leader or member of management of any machine malfunction, production quality or safety issues.
Perform repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting actions involving material weighing 1-100 pounds.
Monitor production supplies and material and notify management of shortages prior to running out.
Ensure housekeeping duties are a priority. Maintain a clean and safe department and workplace.
- Perform all production duties according to established TS-16949 Procedures.
- Provide continuous process improvement suggestions designed to improve quality and efficiency within operating area.
- Assist with periodic inventory as required.
- Clearly identify and tag all stored material as required.
- Operate overhead crane and hi-lo as required (license required).
- Perform other duties as assigned by Department Leader or Supervisor.

Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Keyboard, mouse and scanner.
- Capable of reading and understanding Blueprints.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year experience in metal fabricating plant.
Basic math skills. Works well on a team. Attention to detail. Experience with gauges and calipers preferred. Ability to read blueprints preferred.
