Job Description

The CORI VISTA Program is designed to build the capacity of our community partners, develop inclusive tech skilling programs, and cultivate locally supported career pathways to drive tech employment for low-income, underemployed, and unemployed rural residents. Through capacity building, the CORI VISTA Program will position each host-site community to more effectively empower economically disadvantaged rural residents to start future-proof and good-paying tech careers, including through expanded tech skilling partnerships, wrap-around services, and career pathways that align employer needs with local tech skilling efforts. The CORI VISTA Program will also contribute to the development of models and best practices for developing tech skilling programs in rural areas that can scale across all the communities where CORI works and beyond.



Member Duties : As the Resource Development VISTA you will be involved with local development activities that target tech skilling programs in rural communities. These activities will include capacity building for grants management, donor engagement, and local fundraising campaigns that can diversify the host site’s funding streams and strengthen the overall sustainability of the program moving forward. In this role, there are four primary objectives that the Resource Development VISTA is expected to complete by the end of their service year: Build the Capacity of the grants management system and local donor engagement program Develop partnerships with funding organizations to pay for tech skilling programs Develop marketing strategies for events, digital media, and print media outlets Develop resource- based deliverables identified by the Site Leader.
