This position is a "Student Support" assignment that runs through 12/31/2023 with the potential for an extension. The expectation is that you’ll work around 15-20 hours per week during the school year and during summer you can choose how much you’d like to work, with the cap at 40 hours per week. As a Social Media Student for Global Talent, you will gain valuable experience and learn from some of the best as you sit on the Global Talent Acquisition – Center of Excellence team. Our team is mostly remote, as will you be for this role, so you will always feel like part of the team with our frequent touch bases and weekly calls.


Your number one priority will always be helping our team create, publish, and analyze our social media content. We expect you to have quite the appetite for helping create quality content that is aligned to brand guidelines, keeping our social calendar organized, and openly sharing your ideas for improvement with the team. If you desire a career in digital marketing, social media, communications, HR or somewhere in between, this will be a valuable early career experience.


Who will you work with directly? For starters, you will collaborate heavily with your manager, the Associate Manager of Talent Attraction. You’ll also work with the Employer Brand Manager and Recruitment Marketing Regional Leads. Beyond them, you will partner with peers across the globe from our recruitment and communication teams, which may require a few video calls outside of normal working hours.


HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Social Media Calendar Management– We put out hundreds of social posts each year. It’ll be part of your responsibility to keep our calendar organized and manage incoming posts requests. We use scheduling tools, Sprinklr and TeamUp, which you’ll become an expert in.
  • Content Creation – On top of reviewing content that we get sent to us, we’ll need your help in creating new content from the get-go. If we have a cool idea for a post, we want you to help us bring it to life. This looks like having meetings with stakeholders, coming up with a proposal, writing copy and creating graphics for the post. We’ll be by your side the whole time as your brainstorm partners and we’ll get you access to helpful tools like the Adobe Suite and Canva!
  • Social Analytics Analysis & Reporting– You can help our team understand what content is most engaging with our audiences as well as what the perception of Kellogg’s employer brand is through social listening. We already have some dashboards and practices that we can show you once you start!
  • Talent Attraction Project Support – We’ll likely need your help at times with ongoing efforts related to our ambassador program, inviting employees to record videos about #LifeAtK, photo & video management, and anything else that may come our way!


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS


Required:

  • Social media content creation experience
  • Graphic design experience (Software examples - Canva, Adobe Suite – Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.)
  • Social calendar management experience
  • Copywriting & written communication skills
  • Creative ideas
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Currently, a student seeking an undergraduate degree or graduate degree with a GPA of 2.7 or higher
