This position oversees our social skills groups. Experience with children necessary. Teachers, SLPs, counselors, school psychologists, interns, welcome to apply. A mental health license is not required for this position but a background check and fingerprint clearance card is required. Must be available two Saturday mornings per month for in person groups. Remote work for administrative tasks is allowed.

1- promotes and sources clients for our groups (has access to our marketing team, however this is an active role to contact schools and other professionals to promote and spread awareness.
2. Pulls together our curriculum we have used over the past 3 years and organizes it in a way that is easier to implement with some guidance. Regularly Updates curriculum to keep it current and relevant
3. Makes contact with interested participants and schedules screening appointments ( in coordination with our OM). Could be organized to occur once a month. Uses templates and pre determined screening procedure to meet with family/ student to determine goodness of fit for group.
4) puts groups together based on similar needs and age groups ( in coordination with owner)
5) Receives training of PCIT-SM
6) assigns staff to groups/ May include hiring staff per our in house hiring guidelines specific for this role and training staff on procedures of PCIT-SM . Guidance and support for these activities are provided.
7)creates general parent feedback / communication forms for each group for kids to take home to share what group covered and suggestions for at home activities to supplement.
8)oversees group day and ensures groups run smoothly
9)Meets with parents first day of group, communicates with parents before group and week 7 to provide 15 minute feedback sessions to each family. This task may be delegated to include other lead counselors running groups.
*Director of group can also be a counselor of group/groups. They have the option of running all the groups themselves and making additional money or staffing/hiring for these positions. Staff from within the organization may be available to help/ or be group leaders. A backup or secondary action plan for case of illness/ sickness must be developed.
Group focus is for kids with social anxiety and SM.
Expectation is 20 hours a month, pay is commensurate with experience and bonuses are given with growth of the program. The more clients we have participating, the higher the pay for the director, a base salary will be paid. Then bonuses for number of participants will be given and Running a group of students also incurs additional pay for those direct hours. Groups are held on Saturday mornings. Screenings can take place on a schedule that works for the director.
Director reports directly to owner/ CEO (myself).
