The software engineer for this role will be joining the FBM Avionics organization committed to developing flight software for the missile system. The software engineer will join a team of GNC and software engineers that designs and develops mission critical GNC subsystems for the FBM program. The duties for the position will incorporate all phases of the software development life cycle - requirements, design, code, test, and maintenance. The software engineer will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
Basic Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C++ and Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience with software unit testing
• Understanding of Agile Software Development processes

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Linux, git, Python, Matlab
• Experience with embedded real-time software development
• Ability to work through difficult technical issues in a collaborative team environment
• Understanding of missile or satellite software systems
• Current has or the ability to obtain a secret security clearance (no secret needed to start)
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent team orientation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills with management and peers
• Previous embedded software development experience
• Familiarity with software design in UML

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $57,800 - $110,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
