As the Operations Supervisor for Welding at XPO Logistics, you’ll be responsible for providing supervision to the Welders and Production Technicians at our trailer manufacturing operation. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Supervise a team of welders and production technicians
• Handle production, payroll and other administrative functions to ensure production goals are met
• Coach, train and develop employees in a manner consistent with company policies
• Act as a champion of XPO’s values, demonstrating them and holding your team to the same high standards

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and work experience

• 2 years of related experience

It’d be great if you also have:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule and a variety of shifts with possible overtime when needed, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
• Exceptional leadership, communication and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• A positive attitude with the ability to work creatively and build/motivate a team

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
