QAD
has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Manager - SaaS Platform on our Product team. This position is fully remote and based in the U.S., preferably East Coast. Your responsibilities will include directing a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. You will function as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, SaaS Product Transformation with Product Management in the U.S.

What you’ll do:

  • Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.
  • Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control.
  • Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • You will be directly involved in leading the QAD transformation into a SaaS product company as we develop our next generation platform to enable customer consumption of the QAD product portfolio in the form of software services. This new delivery model requires a modern next generation public cloud based platform managed and operated by the QAD cloud operations team.
  • Your role will take the lead in developing an outside-in definition of "the what" the SaaS platform capabilities needs -AND- lead a team of technical product owners that collaborate with the technology, engineering, and technology partner teams to manage the how and when of delivery.
  • Lead a team of technical product owners to facilitate the enablement and maintenance of QAD products for a SaaS delivery model.
  • Gather customer product design requirements from customers (internal or end user customers). Collaborate with Architects, Engineers and Analysts to define customer requirements.
  • Conduct analysis for project resources required to profitably develop and launch new software products or enhancements to current products, using established procedures.
  • Facilitate establishment of budget for projects within area of responsibility. Responsible for project risk analysis and management.
  • Report high level progress of projects and facilitate activities that lead to the successful launch of products.
  • Remain abreast of current technical progress to ensure the company's products remain marketable and competitive.

Qualifications


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science; advanced degree desirable
  • Minimum 5 years software business experience including software application development
  • Good knowledge of commercial software applications. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong understanding of software requirements analysis and specification.
  • Knowledge of software product development procedures.
  • Strong financial acumen for business planning and business case analysis.
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be a team leader and self-starter.
  • Able to influence others and build strong working relationships.

Compensation Package:

  • Base pay range: $125,000 - $155,000 USD Annual (12 Months)
  • Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity
  • This position is also eligible for an annual company performance bonus
  • U.S. benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid-time off, parental leave, and well-being programs
