Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to define, evolve and enable the Risk Adjustment and Submissions roadmap working with strategic and IT product management and development teams
  • Possess a blend of product, business and technical expertise
  • Proactively communicate with business stakeholders to bring alignment and awareness to the product backlog and adjust priorities where necessary
  • Work closely with solution architects, data architects, and broader development resources to jointly design and define solutions
  • Create features and user stories aligned with product vision and business objectives while working closely with a scrum masters, business system analysts and other development resources
  • Prioritize features, manage acceptance criteria, participate in daily scrum activities and participate in sprint / PI planning
  • Identify and scope business needs and translate those needs into product requirements
  • Communicate product/business requirements and rationale with all stakeholders including technology development teams, QA and business partners
  • Work directly with the technical teams to define and refine user stories
  • Support and define a standardized integration process
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Technical Product Management/Product Owner or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience writing features/user stories, requirements, testing and collaborating with Development/Engineering teams
  • 2+ years working knowledge of system development life cycle concepts and Agile methodology
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products in an Agile environment
  • Experience translating business processes into analytical solutions
  • Experience using an Agile development platform such as Rally to manage development backlogs
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build solid working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile/Scrum certification
  • Business Analysis experience
  • Experience in healthcare or health insurance
  • Clinical operations experience
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in development and web technologies
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization
  • Detail oriented with critical thinking skills - ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details
  • Demonstrated project team leadership skills
