Job Description

The Vending Associate fills and maintains our fleet of cargo vans, which includes driving cargo vans, assisting with product shopping, loading and unloading product from vans, and general warehouse/van maintenance. The Vending Associate also services accounts, which includes maintaining records, refilling goods, and providing basic maintenance. In addition, the Vending Associate will assist with moving vending machines as needed.

Duties:

  • Operate cargo van for route deliveries
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution within warehouse and cargo vans
  • Maintain inventory and service records
  • Fill various types of vending machines
  • Perform product rotation
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic vending machine malfunctions
  • Collect cash funds from vending machines
  • Fulfill product orders
  • Load and unload product orders
  • Clean and maintain shop
  • Deliver or pick up vending machines from locations.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and on a consistent basis
  • Valid Driver’s Licence, good driving record, safe and lawful driving habits
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly for the majority of the work day
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to communicate well with a variety of people and tactfully handle customer interactions
  • Must be honest, trustworthy, and possess a high degree of personal integrity
  • Must pass conditional post-offer background investigation, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
  • Dependability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
  • Quality control analysis

Work hours and conditions:

Must be available two days per week for an 8 hour shift each day. Available shifts are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, or 9am-6pm. Preferred shift is Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am-5pm, although flexibility can be discussed.

Saturday or Sundays may be rarely required if the business must shut down for winter storm days and/or holidays. Holidays that are not required are: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas Day.

Work will take place in a warehouse setting, as well as on location at customer accounts. Exposure to the elements will occur.

Pay and opportunities for advancement:

Starting pay is a salary of $248 per week (equivalent to $15.50/hr) paid weekly via direct deposit.

Assuming good monthly performance reviews throughout, after 3 months the salary will raise to $264 per week (equivalent to $16.50/hr), after 6 months the salary will raise to $280 per week (equivalent to $17.50/hr), and after a year there will be the introduction of a weekly commission bonus.
