Job Description

We're hiring a video editor to finalize educational question-and-answer videos and stories/reels for clients who are small business owners and professional service providers. We interview clients on an HD webcam or their mobile phone to answer commonly asked questions from their customers. Each client video is roughly 3-5 minutes in length and just them answering a customer question. Stories are under 60 seconds which promotes the video. We create one from each video. We make sure they have a great script, look and sound great, and overall direct them to record a strong video for you. We'll then send the video to you, which you'll edit in Adobe Premiere, and then upload to the client's YouTube channel. You'll be responsible for editing up to 100 short "talking head" videos a month. We like about 60 minutes of editing put into a video and its complementary story or reel. No experience is necessary. All training is provided. This is a 100% work-from-home position with health insurance provided. No weekend work.
Responsibilities:
  • Cut a video down to the most effective message.
  • Crop the video property for YouTube (or social media).
  • Adjust lighting/color and sound levels.
  • Create lower thirds to highlight the main points.
  • Add sound effects and helpful transitions/pans/zooms.
  • Create a logo introduction from a template.
  • Create YouTube video thumbnail templates in Photoshop.
  • Include B-roll images from stock or client provided.
  • Attend regular team meetings with examples of your work
  • Joining a client on a video call to give them guidance.
  • Help new hires get up to speed in the role.
  • Cross-train to perform other duties and roles in the company.
  • Provide shadowing for 30 days to new hires in your role, if at the top end of the pay scale.
  • Create a less than 60-second YouTube short for each video.
  • Create thumbnails in Canva
  • Keep Google Drive organized

Qualifications:
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects and Premiere).
  • Experience creating YouTube thumbnails in Canva
  • Bring-your-own-computer - must provide your own computer and internet connection.
  • Story editing skills to streamline the client's message with precise cuts.
  • Listening skills to edit a video to communicate the intent of the client's message.
  • Visual eye for beautiful typography cosmetics.
  • Visual eye to create beautiful thumbnail images.
  • Intellectually and emotionally invested in creating videos worth watching.
  • Directing your Digital Marketing Manager to guide clients to make great videos.
  • Pass a short audition to prove your current skill for the role.

Compensation: $15 hourly + PTO + health insurance + paid holidays.

About Vyral Mktg:

We implement education-based direct response marketing for entrepreneurial professional service providers (real estate agents, business brokers, mortgage professionals, etc) building their own businesses on 100% commission. It’s a painful, yet rewarding journey for them. Our clients - after enduring the pain/rejection of cold calling, losing money on traditional advertising, or being stuck in place working by referral only - hire us to help them get comfortable publishing videos, emails, letters, and social media ads to attract (not chase) new clients. We deliver financial peace of mind with a new client attraction system that’s not financially risky or emotionally exhausting. They pay us to do most of the work to help them out. We stand behind it all with a 90-day money-back guarantee (which we actually enforce). If you enjoy working with business owners, get excited about reducing entrepreneurial uncertainty, enjoy the craft of influence, and take pride in demonstrating or telling others about your work - we are the place for you. We’ve built a culture where you are safe, protected, understood, and valued to do your best. We all support each other and have a terrific training program to get you up to speed. Our vision is to inspire 1,000+ business owners to earn more money (with less stress) by implementing a great marketing system. Our purpose is to reduce our client’s entrepreneurial anxiety and help them relax by generating a steady stream of new business with minimal risk and relative ease. Our mission is to help our clients grow their business and build a great firm that attracts, develops, excites, and retains exceptional people. We want to be known as the most helpful agency in our space where we get the call when someone needs help getting new clients. Please tell us how you feel about our mission and vision when you interview.
