About the role

ASSISTANT MANAGER - LOAN SERVICING

Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to loan servicing; participate in developing and improving policies and procedures specific to loan servicing

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises the Commercial and Mortgage Servicing Department team in the carrying out of all servicing functions, including new loan set-up, processing payments and advances, responding to member inquiries and requests, perform maintenance to accounts
  • Assist with staff training as necessary and assure that all procedures meet with our internal business practice, investor requirements, and as well as regulatory agencies compliance.
  • Ensure the department service level is met: members inquiries are replied to in timely manner and assist staff with any difficult members or situations, take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge with all servicing tasks to properly assist servicing staff as needed.
  • Assist manager with updating policies and procedures to ensure investors and regulatory compliances are met.
  • Train the servicing representatives as necessary to insure that they are crossed-trained in all policies and procedures.
  • Assist manager with Secondary Marketing Participation Sales
  • Perform quality control on department functions routinely.
  • Prepare/review daily and monthly reports
  • Review and adjust processes to optimize efficiency and member experience.
  • Work with others to ensure programs are running smoothly, troubleshoot system issues as they arise
  • Perform other duties/task as required by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred, with 3 to 10 years of lending experience, particularly in loan servicing; and/or combination of education and experienced required
  • Ability to deal with complex issues both systemically and creatively; is committed to finding the best answer within constraints of time, cost and quality; thinks of new possibilities; considers possible impact on others.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Lending regulations.
  • General knowledge of computer software; data input skills.
  • Experience with Windows based applications.
  • Able to perform work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to present information in a clear and easily understood manner.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
