This position is based in Charlotte, NC.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently, support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Investigate the factual support for easement requests and alleged trespass issues
Serve as a primary contact for easement and field operations issues including some aspects of relocation of plant issues with the field operations teams
Perform legal research or research processes related to easement, field operations issues and plant relocation issues
Develop and build relationships with the field operations teams and legal teams as needed
Serve as a primary point of contact for escalations within the operations legal team support of field operations client groups
Collaborate with the senior director and/or the contract manager to identify opportunities for process improvements or new approaches
Develop subject matter expertise and support cross-functional initiatives as needed in land use and real estate law
Track open matters, scheduling requirements and follow up with emails, phone calls, web ex and other processes as needed
Perform legal research as needed and draft related correspondence for internal review
Obtain, organize, and serve as the internal legal point of contact for all relocation projects
Perform research to include analyzing statues, regulations, precedent, articles, codes and other legal resources
Serve as liaison for internal clients, law firms, state and federal agencies, and customers
Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
Proficiency with Microsoft software
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, legal holds and other related matters
Legal research and investigative skills

Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience
